Cafe Caricias Opened May 7th 2010 in Santa Cruz, California. This quaint and artistic coffee shop is operated in conjunction with the Boca Del Cielo Bed & Breakfast, located directly behind the Boardwalk Bowling Alley and just a short walk across the street from the Beach Boardwalk. The title: "Caricias," comes from the owners' family member named "Caridad." Her nick name is Caricias which means caress in Spanish. Like most cafe's they create a wide variety of coffee drinks, however, Cafe Caricias also offers fresh blended smoothies, tamarind and jamaica (a sweetened tea made with hibiscus blooms). In addition to a lovely assortment of beverages, this venue supplies an incredibly visually appealing atmosphere. Intimate coffee tables are scattered about the lush outdoor patio and huge painted murals decorate many of the walls. Each time I visit I manage to find new art work where ever I look! Cafe Caricias has made a name for itself by being a beautiful place to unwind, have a cup of joe, and enjoy some local art work!

You may recognize the above mural from this outfit post. As you can see from the captions on each of these photos, I have used Cafe Caricias as a backdrop for so many of my outfit post. I think art and fashion go hand in hand don't you? Yours, Nico |
