Cafe Delmarette:

"The Rita"- Toasted bread, potato pancake,
gruyere cheese, and chopped parsley.

When I wake up in the mornings, often times the first thought that pops into my head is "I should get breakfast at Cafe Delmarette." ....My second thought is that I should probably brush my teeth so I don't have morning breath while I devour an overly delectable sandwich at my favorite coffee shop. I digress, but what I'm trying to say is that this place is phenomenal, a must visit if you are in Santa Cruz! Delmarette's menu is short but each item they serve is filled with delicious freshness. The robust flavor of their verve coffees are an instant pick me up (Previously featured in this post) and even the ice tea they serve is filled with delicate aromatics. Each sandwich is crafted to perfection with house made garlic aioli and organic produce. Located downtown, nestled between The Del Mar theater and Staff of Life grocery, Cafe Delmarette always delivers a superb and healthy meal!

Lychee Peach Jasmine Iced Tea- Subtle hints of
fruits mix with the light flavor of Jasmine.

Hot Chocolate- It's made from scratch, `nuff said.

Aranciata- Like orange soda, but much less syrupy.

Passion Fruit Iced Tea- A darker more sultry blend of tea with
a strong tropical fruit flavor, my personal favorite.

"The Henry Miller"- Toasted bread with roasted
chicken, mozzarella, and sun dried tomatoes.

"The B.L.A" - Toasted bread, crisp bacon, lettuce, and avocado.
(This is my "usual")

You can find Cafe Delmarette at 1126 Pacific Ave, Santa Cruz, CA. 95060, or call them at (831) 420-1025. Oh and don't forget to check out the Delmarette on facebook by clicking here. There are tons of visually edible food and coffee related photos on the page!

Wine Wizards:

Nestled in my hometown of Stockton, California there seems to be a small handful of really spectacular restaurants (Like the location I featured here) one of my new favorites being Wine Wizards. Living up to it's name, this quaint wine bar truly is filled with wine magicians! But if the extensive wine list doesn't win you over, Wine Wizard's lunch menu will be sure to make you drool. Artisan cheese boards, Raclettes, quiches, and scrumptious sandwiches grace the menu on a regular basis. What is a Raclette you ask? Raclette is a type of mellow yet hearty cheese from the swiss alpine that is smothered over a layer of red skinned potatoes with a sprinkle of fresh italian parsley and broiled to melted perfection. Be sure to view the full menu by clicking here. And if you by chance find yourself passing thru Stockton while on California's Interstate 5 I hope that you will fill your tummy and your wine glass at Wine Wizards!

Delicious ginger beer with a strong bite!

I love their clear tea/coffee mugs! And hardly anyone uses
cubed sugar anymore, I wish they would because it is so much

more appealing than a bowl of sugar packets.

Thin cut turkey on fresh baguette with mixed greens, extra
sharp cheddar cheese, and house made cranberry aioli. This is
what I ordered for myself (You can tell by the lipstick mark!)
and I was not disappointed in the least.

Comforting tomato and mushroom quiche with cucumbers dressed
in  tahini and mixed cabbage. Every item on this plate was scrumptious.

Oven roasted red potatoes with melted artisan cheese and
chopped italian parsley. The cheese my smell a bit like feet
but the taste is divine! Funny how cheese works that way.
