Tara's Wedding Dress by nsaich featuring high heel pumps
My friend Tara, who I have been friends with since 8th grade, is getting married! I'm so utterly happy for her and her fiance, Marcus! She has already selected the wedding dress of her dreams, a gorgeous ivory satin with a tiered pleat hem but is having trouble finding just the right shoe. Tara has told me that she wants something bold, perhaps even a teal or pink pair of shoes to compliment her dress. In the picture above you will see Tara's actual dress plus a few ideas for shoes she may wear. I also thought a second pair of fun glittery flats would be fun and comfortable to wear during the reception, what do you think?

Congrats to Tara and Marcus and how fun is it that she wants to wear a bold shoe! I LOVE the idea of a glittery shoe whether it's all night or just for the reception. I especially love the shape of that off-white pair at the top right and think it would look pretty dyed pink or teal.
ReplyDeletethank you thank you! i am really liking the shoe on the very bottom left with the bow. i can't tell exactly what color it is, can you send me the link? also, really liking the hot pink with the dots on the inside. decisions, decisions...
ReplyDeleteWhat color are the flowers and bridesmaids dresses? It might be nice to pick shoes that compliment one of those things.
ReplyDeleteI agree with briannelee about maybe matching or incorporating the wedding colors. But, I LOVE me a blue pump! Especially for a wedding- something blue ;-) I like the ivory peep toe at the top of the pic. And maybe she could add a wedding color (or a something blue) embellishment like a flower or lace or even some rhinestones. Customizing her shoes would be a way to make em super special!
ReplyDeleteThe teal peep toe, is amazing. my only concern is that Tara is tiny and has a tiny frame. A super bold shoe might be overpowering.
ReplyDeletehey guys - well, i am not having a traditional type of wedding. we are getting married through the court at city hall in s.f. and then having a reception with close friends and family after, so i don't think i will be having any bridesmaids. i was definitely considering my shoes to be my "something blue", but i'm going back and forth with that idea, because i'm not a HUGE fan of the color blue. i was thinking of a pale pink shoe, but i don't want something too close to the color of my dress, this is why i wanted something bold. i've never been one for traditional wedding colors! thanks so much for your input! keep 'em comin!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Tara! First, LOVE the dress! I like the blue in the upper right or the peep toe pink ones with the jewels. As someone who stares at wedding pictures all day everyday, go for the unusual! It will be more memorable, unique, and more you! And, if you need suggestions for wedding photographers, let me know!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely get a second pair!!! You'll be more comfortable and super duper fun at the reception with them. :D Go for FUN!
