This is my first ever make up post and I couldn't be more excited/terrified about sharing these photos with you all! I have to say that I do love make up. I previously worked for Mac Cosmetics and ever since I've accumulated a lot of products (AKA: face paints). I am by no means a make up pro but I wanted to show my readers how I make getting ready in the AM fast and above all, beautiful. But as I mentioned earlier, I am also very afraid to share these photos! It's difficult to put yourself in front of an iphone camera (which I use to take all of the photos for my blog) with no make up on and show people how you try to make yourself look decent in the shortest possible amount of time. Talk about a tall order! To make matters worse, I recently had some heavy dental work done and my face was pretty swollen post surgery (especially on the side I did not feature in any of the photos). But I thought... if I can do my makeup in less than 5 minutes while drugged up on (doctor prescribed) codeine and still manage to look presentable, then this tutorial is probably worth sharing!
Magic Potions:
1: Mac's "Cork" eyeshadow. (for my brows)
2: Mac's "Omega" eyeshadow.
4: Benefit's High Beam (Favorite beauty product ever!)
5: Maybelline's Define-A-Lash mascara plus volume
6: Milani eyeliner (Picked this one up on a whim and I love it! No eyeliner sharpener required, which is perfect because I always manage to misplace mine.)
8: Benefit's Play Stick foundation
Let's get started!
1: Apply foundation/powder (which ever you prefer) to your full face making sure to apply an even layer over your eyelids. This will help your eyeshadow stay on longer.
2: Using a thin angled brush, fill in your eyebrows. I prefer to use eyeshadow to contour my brows. For blonde's try Mac's cork. When my hair was black, I used Mac's mystery. I like to trace a line under my brow using the angled brush and feather the color upwards.
2: Apply a neutral shade of brown eyeshadow from your lash line to right above your eye's crease using a fluffy brush.
3: Apply black eyeliner to your lower lash line.
4: Apply liberal amounts of mascara.
5: Apply benefit's high beam under your eyes in an even stripe. Pat the product into your foundation blending as you go until you achieve a smooth and bright complexion.
And you are good to go!
All in less than 5 minutes!
Yours,
Nico
PS: I did edit these photos a bit. Turned up the volume on the sharpness and reduced the noise a hair.
