Small Morsels: 4th of July Edition!

Mint chocolate chip cakes.

This past 4th of July, my boyfriend and I hosted a small get together at our place. Even though the holiday fell in the middle of a particularly crazy week, it was a welcomed break to spend the 4th with close friends. We drank cocktails (I made three!), grilled in the backyard garden, and generally had a fantastic time celebrating our nation's birthday. Here are some snaps from the holiday:

Bacon & Apple potato salad (Recipe here).

Course grain mustard and home made spicy lemon ketchup,
the perfect condiments for grilled sausages.

Fresh (extra spicy!) guacamole plus tortilla chips.

Milk glass yogurt cups filled with party cutlery and festive straws.

Veggie pizzas with heirloom tomatoes and spicy peppers.

A venue for booze, citrus, and a garden bouquet.

Getting it all together.
