Backyard drinks: raspberry elderflower sweet tea cocktail & an orange and mint mojito. |
Experimenting with toppings: Bacon pizza & peach and chevre cheese pizza. |
I mentioned in this post, that I was able to grab coffee while I was in Berkeley, check out the latte art! |
Adorable and delicious cookies from my friend Shayla's bridal shower. |
Bacon waffles from Stax, in San Jose. As you can see, bacon is a major theme in my life. |
What I had for dinner last night: Pasta carbonara (this has bacon in it too!) from Lillian's Italian Kitchen. The best restaurant in town! |
An assortment of sugar cookies, recipe here. Sometimes I make a massive batch of cookie dough and just go to town with the decorations using whatever I have on hand, this is the end result.
This Monday I am having jaw surgery. For those of you that don't know, I started this blog very quietly after I had my wisdom teeth removed. I needed something to keep me productive while I was stuck in bed for several weeks (there were slight complications after the extraction, including the fact that I am allergic to vicodin and that I would additionally need other jaw procedures done). As someone who loves to experiment in the kitchen and try every flavor possible, having jaw surgery is really tough because I am not able to do the one thing I love most, eat. However, I am so grateful that I was able to find my way into the world of blogging because it has helped me so tremendously during those times I'm stuck in bed. I didn't get to post as much as I usually like to this past week and that is because I was busy stock piling images and posts for the next few weeks to share with you all! I'm looking forward to posting everything that I have been working on lately as well as peek in on all of your blogs that always continue to inspire me. In the mean time, here are some photos of just a few of the things I'm going to miss eating.
Yours,
Nico
PS: Whether you know it or not, all of your blogs help me thru difficult times, and I wanted to say thank you for your support!
