Michael and Me:

I'm usually the last person to admit when I have a crush on someone but in this case, let it be known that I have a bit of a crush (or full on infatuation!) with Michael Kors' style. Ok yes, he may always be in the exact same outfit (blazer, crew cut T, denim, leather shoes, impeccable watch) but he always looks amazingly rich and chic. I really love his women's design aesthetic, mixing forever classic pieces (that always have a bit of a bold edge) with a few eccentric and trendy items. If you haven't seen his new (and affordable) jewelry line, check it out by clicking here. Any piece from this line would make an excellent birthday or xmas gift as well! My love and adoration for his simplistic yet chic style contributed to this uncomplicated outfit made of my favorite classic separates:

Turtleneck: Gap
V Neck cardigan: Ann Taylor
Flared denim: Alloy
Wedge boots: Michael Kors

This belt was recently worn with this outfit earlier in the week. I picked it up at target several months back and the accessory has become my go to item for a splash of print (cost less than 15 bucks too)! Also, you'll often see me repeat items on this blog, I think it helps to show how versatile a piece can be, don't you?!

Handbag: Marc Jacobs (Similar here)
Sunglasses: Michael Kors
Nail polish: featured here
Silver bangle: Coach
Earrings: Vintage find at the antique fair ($2!)

What are the anchors of your wardrobe?
Who is your style icon?

Yours,
Nico

  3. My style icon is Victoria Beckham! However, my male celebrity designer crush is either Tom Ford or Brian Atwood.... Those two men are just absolutely gorgeous.... Anyways, I love your target leopard belt, I snagged one up at Marshall's from 9West a few weeks back, real calf hair for $17! Love the Marc Jacobs bag and...style that hot pink halter number...it's for a good cause :)

  4. Brian Atwood is a gorgeous man. Love him. I guess the reason why I love MK so much is because growing up in Stockton I always loved clothes and fashion but I had no idea about high end designers or anything like that. So when project runway hit the scene I had an instant crush on Michael Kors!
